MK 41 VLS Design Agent (FY25-FY29) Industry Day

The MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) Design Agent Industry Day is scheduled from 14 November – 16 November 2023 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA.

The Industry Day will consist of a general presentation to industry (Day 1) on 14 November 2023 with all interested industry participants.  At the conclusion of the general presentation, interested industry participants will be provided a tour of the NSWC PHD Surface Weapons Engineering Facility (SWEF) to provide industry with an opportunity to view MK 41 VLS equipment and discuss technical questions with subject matter experts. Day 2 (15 November) and Day 3 (16 November) of the Industry Day will be reserved for one-on-one splinter meetings with interested industry participants. 

Interested parties are required to RSVP for Design Agent Industry Day by close of business on 23 October 2023 via e-mail to Mr. Matthew Hubbard, Contract Specialist, at matthew.r.hubbard2.civ@us.navy.mil and Mr. David Chamberlain, Procuring Contracting Officer, at david.s.chamberlain5.civ@us.navy.mil. The interested parties should provide a ranked list of preference for the 2 available days (November 15, 16) for their splinter meeting with the Government. The Government will make an effort to schedule the splinter session in accordance with that preference to the extent possible. The Government will review all requests and notify industry participants of the schedule by 30 October 2023.

The RSVP shall include the following information:  Subject line: "NAVSEA MK 41 VLS Design Agent Industry Day”. Include the Point-of-Contact's name, telephone number, company, names of the attendees, and specific canister types of interest. Interested parties are limited to four attendees per respondent. Recording devices are not permitted.
