Synopsis:

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 “Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions”

US Forest Service, NW SPOC intends to negotiate/award a sole-source, contract with Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC). The purpose of this requirement is to provide services to:

   +  Installation of new underground electrical conductors between an existing pole-mounted transformer and a new electrical meter base adjacent to the Boundary Guard Station cabin.

   +  Installation of new electric meter

   +  Testing to verify installation of new equipment and materials are in working order.

A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED.
The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 221122 – Electric Power Distribution. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 1000 employees.
 

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date.  If no affirmative written responses are received by 1400 Pacific Time on Friday 08 February 2023, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Electronic responses and questions shall be submitted via email to kevin.flores@usda.gov and jason.tanamor@usacusda.gov.  The U.S. Forest Service is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
