Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Chief of Contracting Office (COCO) will host an Industry Day virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM EST.
The purpose of the event is to provide Industry an overview of CISA Emergency Communications Division’s (ECD) developing requirements relating to the Priority Telecommunications Services (PTS) Integration Contractor (IC) Telecom initiative. CISA ECD will provide industry a description of the draft technical capabilities and will request Industry feedback and recommendations.
There will also be an opportunity for a question-and-answer period.
BACKGROUND:

In response to communication challenges, ECD supports and promotes communications used by emergency responders and government officials to keep America safe, secure, and resilient. CISA leads the Nation’s operable and interoperable public safety and national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) communications efforts. CISA provides training, coordination, tools, and guidance to help its federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and industry partners develop their emergency communications capabilities. CISA'S programs and services coordinate emergency communications planning, preparation and evaluation, to ensure safer, better-prepared communities nationwide.
The Contractor shall provide task/program management, engineering, service agreements acquisition, and operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) support for Priority Services (PS). PS consists of legacy Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS), Special Routing Arrangement Service (SRAS), Wireless Priority Service (WPS), and Next Generation Network (NGN) Priority Service (PS). In addition to the services described above, under optional CLINs, when exercised by the Government, the Contractor shall support the planning, implementation and testing of bridging and NGN PS technology refreshment-type changes that will contribute to the continuing viability and effectiveness of the PS as it transitions to NGN.
