Description

The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) to Adventure Hornblower/Inspiration Hornblower, 1380 Harbor Island Dr. San Diego, CA 92101 for the following:

This task will provide for all labor and materials per statement of work.

Contractor’s specifications:
Vessel must be at least 120’ feet in length

Vessel must have at least a 12 foot by 12 foot open area deck space
Vessel must have a minimum of 4 feet of freeboard for hook and climb maneuvers

Vessel must be capable to transit a minimum of 10 nautical miles off shore.
The area above the deck space will be free of superstructures, antenna or other obstacles to minimize risk to both the aircraft and the assault team

A flat freeboard that presents no obstruction to the climbers is required
No lips or protrusions from the hull that run the length of the ship
The vessel must be able to accommodate approximately 30 passengers who will serve as safety observers, evaluators and other required training positions.

Vessel must have multiple internal spaces capable of being configured to resemble a Passenger ferry.

Vessel must have at a minimum the following interior spaces: Bridge, Engine Room, Machinery Room, and Passenger Seating similar to a Ferry.
