Renovate Building 410

This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Alabama Air National Guard – 117TH Air Refueling Wing to identify potential vendors for a competitive Small Business Set-Aside for the Renovation of the existing bldg. 410 into a secure working area.

 The Project Magnitude of $500,000 to $1,000,000.

This is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. The government does not intend to award a contract based on this market research.

The 117th ARW located at Birmingham IAP, Birmingham, AL, is requesting information, pursuant to FAR PART 10, in support of Market Research, to identify potential sources for the renovation of building 410.

The proposed project includes but is not limited to the following:

The demolition of existing interior walls, ceilings, flooring elements, and building systems.  Relocation of existing split system air handlers from another bldg., relocation of existing gas fired emergency generator and automatic transfer switch.  All new electrical systems including new lighting, receptacles, service panels, and power distribution panels. Underground utility work will include all building necessary power, sanitary, gas, water, and telecommunications infrastructure.

As part of the base bid, the contractor is responsible for engaging Advantor Systems Cooperation (which is a sole source security system) for the procurement (purchase) and installation of the IDS and CCTV systems.

The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 23622, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $45.0M.  The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice with a capability statement not to exceed (NTE) two (2) pages and ensure your Unique Entity ID, CAGE Code and small business status is identified, per listed NAICS code. Please include Bonding limits, single project, and aggregate are included.
