Description
**THIS AMENDMENT PROVIDES QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES TO REFERENCED SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE**
- Could you please advise on the intended contract length, is 36-40 months correct? Contract will be a 5 Year Ordering period IDIQ with each individual task order being for 1 year.
- Would the contract require a team to be based in both Diego Garcia and Saipan full time? Personnel serve aboard the MPF ships that are at Diego Garcia and Saipan, as well as here at BIC and personnel rotate as needed for the skill sets required.
- Should the contract require full time dedicated teams in both Diego Garcia and Saipan, does the award of the contract guarantee a level of work to support those teams and would you specify the manning level for those areas? Or are works considered emerging and cannot be anticipated? Work is both Preventive and Corrective and the Government will provide the labor mix and Manning levels in the statement of work.
- Should the contract not require dedicated teams, do you anticipate elevated travel costs in order to meet the requirements of those locations, or would a company such as ours based in Central Florida be deemed none competitive due to this when compared to local industry on the islands? Travel costs are included, and bulk funded based upon Government anticipated travel requirements for exercise support, rotations etc., in the contract to provide rotation of personnel from ship to ship and from ship to Blount Island Command on a rotational basis. NOTE: the rotation from ship to BIC is currently for a six-month period.
