Description
Flight and Test Apron Repairs at Hill AFB Solicitation # W9123822R0015; Sources Sought #W9123821S0024
The Government anticipates issuing a Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Request for Proposal (RFP) with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for Flight Test Apron Repairs at Hill AFB, Utah.
Project Description: The contractor will be responsible to replace existing Portland cement concrete (PCC) slabs in sections A36B, A45Bl, A45B2, and A52B, along with full reconstruction of structural base materials to include the addition of a coarse aggregate base with a drainage and separation layer, as required for seasonal frost conditions. Demolition includes but is not limited to the removal of existing apron PCC slabs, and adjacent PCC drainage swale. The selected contractor will also provide anchored tie-downs and pavement markings on new apron. All facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 3-260-02, UFC 3-260-01) and AFI 32-1042. Work also includes installing underdrain pipe, stormwater manhole structures, providing grounding points and pavement markings on new apron pavement and replacing existing aircraft sunshade structures.
**This will be a DBB contract.**
In accordance with FAR 36.204 (f), the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be Between $5,000,000.00 and 10,000,000.00. The NAICS Code is 238110 Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors and the size standard is $16.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Z2BD Repair or Altercation of Airport Runways.
The solicitation will proceed as a total small business set aside. Solicitation is tentatively scheduled on or around 28 January 2022 with proposals due tentatively on or around 28 February 2022. The RFP will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as Sam.gov at which time the Government will establish a firm proposal due date/time.
If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation.
