Page 2 of 2 PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 610A4-22-203, Remodel Fort Wayne Chapel: It is the intention of the Northern Indiana VA Healthcare System, Fort Wayne Campus, to solicit bids for the following: Statement of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to remodel the Chapel at the Fort Wayne VAMC. This will include but is not limited to the following. Remodel the Fort Wayne Chapel. Demolition as stated in the drawings and specifications. Construction as stated in the drawings and specifications. Adherence to all infection control requirements given in the drawings and specifications. A non-destructive hazardous materials survey was provided in the project package. As such the contractor may encounter other hazardous material (asbestos containing material, lead based paint) during demolition. All work to be completed at the VA- Northern Indiana Health Care Fort Wayne Campus, 2121 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Work to be completed within 183 calendar days from notice to proceed. Justification of Work: This project is designed for the remodel of the chapel at the Fort Wayne VA. It has not been updated since it was built and is in great need of a remodel. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. with a standard size of $45M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 8 November 2023 via www.sam.gov . A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
