Description
This is a non-commercial effort to provide remanufacture support of FTD Sensors utilized on the F110-100/129 engine. The supply being acquired must meet all requirements defined by the Statement of Work (SOW) for the contract. Due to the drawing for the items being source controlled by the blueprint, the government does not have adequate data to approve additional repair sources. The work encompasses the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, re-assembly, testing, and finishing actions required to return the end item to a like new condition. Data availability is identified on the contract repair screening analysis worksheet (CRSAW (aka AFMC IMT 762)). This acquisition is military unique.
This effort is to support the F110 IEMP partner nations FTD sensors, that are utilized on the F110-100/129 engines. The General Electric F110-GE-129 propulsion system first entered operational service in 1992. This engine, derived from the F110-GE-100, is an afterburning turbofan jet engine produced by General Electric Aviation (GEA) and offers maximum mission capability to over 80% of the world's F-15/F-16 fleets. Because the F110-GE-129 engine has a proven record for safety and operational readiness, it is highly desirable amongst allied nations and is offered to them, via the foreign military sales (FMS) program.
The purpose of this requirement is for the remanufacture of F110-100 & F110-129 FTD Sensors. The contract will be a five-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) requirements-type contract with a one-year basic period and four one-year option periods.
