INDUSTRY DAY NOTICE: CENTRAL EVERGALDES PLANNING PROJECT (CEPP) EVERGALDES ARGICULTURAL AREA (EAA) CONTRACT 11B – A2 RESERVOIR EMBANKMENT PROJECT

The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding an Industry Day event for the forthcoming Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Contract 11B – A2 Reservoir Embankment project. Work associated with the subject requirement includes clearing, grubbing, de-mucking, blasting, foundation preparation, installation of a seepage cutoff wall, canal backfilling, and construction of a 17.3-mile-long embankment dam.

Draft plans and specifications will be uploaded along with a list of questions to be used during contractor breakout sessions to the SAM.gov website under the subject Notice ID. Interested contractors will need to register for this event and site visit utilizing instructions provided below.

Event Dates: July 12, 2023 – July 13, 2023

Event Locations:

• West Palm Beach, Florida area hotel/conference center (to be updated)
• Site visit instructions are in a separate document (you will need a 4x4 (all terrain) vehicle and personal protective equipment (boots, hard hat, safety vest))

Event Schedule:

Day 1 – Site Visit and Presentation

• Meet at the Site Location: 8:30am - 12:00pm
• Travel and Lunch: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
• Overview Presentation: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
• Event Concludes: 5:00pm

Day 2 - Breakout Sessions

• Breakout Sessions (1 hour): 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Event Concludes: 5:00pm

As space is limited, breakout sessions will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. *Due to limited space, only 5 representatives from each firm will be able to attend the breakout session.

Event Details: The Government is planning an Industry Day and site visit to support the forthcoming Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Contract 11B – A2 Reservoir Embankment project. The Government will provide an overview presentation on the history and status of the Everglades Agricultural Area project, including planned procurement of the EAA Contract 11B – A2 Reservoir Embankment project.

If interested in attending this event, firms can register utilizing the link provided above and request a one-hour breakout session to answer the Governments questions.  Note: The Government is not seeking responses to questions in advance of the event, rather, is requesting firms come prepared to discuss the questions during their breakout session.
