 Purchase of Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS).

SOLICITATION NUMBER: PANAPG-22-P-0000-018087

TSI Incorporated, Spectrometer Aerodynamic Particle Sizer Model 3321.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to TSI Incorporated. Cage Code: 24575.  

US Army Aberdeen Test Center requires Spectrometer Aerodynamic Particle Sizer Model 3321. The Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS) Spectrometer Model 3321 has wider range that can detect all aerosol particles of interest. This is essential to operate in various settings and it address the requirement for the CSAC mission. The other systems identified during the market research does not have the capability to measure aerodynamic diameter as well as scattering to measure aerosol particles using both light scattering intensity and aerodynamic measurements that mission demands.

TSI Incorporated, is currently the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of APS Model 3321.  (REF: TSI Inc., Quote # 20234401, dated 7/19/2022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516.   

Posting date of this requirement is August 8, 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 15 August 2022.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.

This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required Supplies/Services.
