Description

Notification of Sole Source Procurement.  In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to limit sources to Pike | Heuber-Breuer Joint Venture (PHB) as the contractor to provide construction of scope elements related to VA Canandaigua miscellaneous items.  These elements include Bldg 1 Window Infills, Bldg 1 & 2 Interior Courtyard Expansion Joints, Temporary Tunnel Demolition, Bldg 2 Level 5 Skybridge Infill, Lowering of the storm drain inlet D7-14, and Replacement of Chiller Plant Automatic Valves.  A stand alone contract will not be issued by the Government to PHB for this work, they will be contracted via Modification to the existing Phase 2 construction contract.

PHB is currently completing construction renovation efforts in multiple buildings across the VA Canandaigua campus.  The various scope items are needed to address the weather tightness of Buildings 1 and 2, along with facility operability shortcomings in the winter months.  Utilizing PHB for these construction efforts is the most advantageous method for achieving the timely completion of these elements of work.  PHB current work on the campus means that they have familiarity with all buildings on campus and relationships with the various subcontractors needed to complete the work.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the agency.  The submission must be received no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Time on 5 December 2024 to Michael.D.Hutchens@usace.army.mil.  THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
