Description

This is a PRE-solicitation notice that the Veterans Health Administration intends to solicit quotes to provide: Three (3) KCI V.A.C. Ulta Therapy Unit Wound Vac System | Erie VA Medical Center located at 135 E. 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504. Six (6) KCI V.A.C Ulta Therapy Units. | Lebanon VA Medical (LVAMC) Center located at 1700 South Lincoln Ave, Lebanon PA 17042. The Veterans Health Administration proposes to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror who s authorized to sell V.A.C.® Therapy products utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures, utilizing Other than Full and Open Competition, as implemented by FAR subpart 6.302-1 (c). This procurement is a brand name for the following reason: These items are being utilized with an existing configuration-controlled system. As such, no other proximity switch will work. If another therapy product were to be selected, the device would have to be vetted, resulting in preventing staff from providing the necessary care to treating Veteran patients and costs to the Government. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted on www.sam.gov for download on or about August 10, 2022. Potential offerors are advised that there may be truncated response time on the solicitation that will follow this pre-solicitation. Anticipated closing date of the solicitation will be August 17, 2022. Solicitation posting and closing dates are subject to change as necessary and amendments will be issued as accordingly.
