Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is for the removal of an existing 35-ft single log
foot bridge over Little Rock Creek on Forest Service Trail #580 at milepost 2.87, and
installing a new 41-ft glulam stringer pack/pedestrian trail bridge with rock-filled
gabion basket foundation.
This project includes:
1) Dispose of an existing approximate 35-ft long single log foot bridge,
2) Construction of a new 41-ft, glulam stringer bridge, including associated trail
approach work, footings, and drainage improvements.

PROJECT LOCATION: This project is located at milepost 2.87 over Little Rock Creek on
Forest Trail # 580 on the Darby Ranger District, USFS, in Ravalli County, MT, Section 35,
Township 4 North, Range 22 West. The project is approximately 3 miles west of the
Lake Como Recreation Area, which is located approximately 8 miles northwest of
Darby, MT.
This project is located three miles from the closest road. Helicopter flights and
mechanized/motorized use is allowed at the site. There is no vehicular access to the
bridge site.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: It is anticipated that work can begin September 15, 2025
with work being completed by November 14, 2025. Contract period of performance is
60 days.


MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION (per FAR 36.204(b)): Between $100,000 and $250,000.
