Washington Aqueduct, Washington, DC
Description of the Work: The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of providing the required services. The proposed service contract will allow for the contractor to independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the Washington Aqueduct. The primary objective is to provide contractor services and deliverables through performance of technical support and routine on-site maintenance support. The services rendered shall be for the contractor to provide on-call and on-site assistance in areas pertaining to the Deionized Water System operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The Laboratory’s Deionized Water System equipment is used for providing contaminant-free water (Type I Reagent Grade Water, at a minimum) that is used for sample collection and laboratory testing. Testing at the water quality laboratory and the operator laboratories employs methods for microbiology, metals, organic, and inorganic compounds, which require reagent water. The reagent-grade water is also used for microbiological media preparation and for rinsing glassware.
