Description
The National Park Service at Channel Islands National Park has a requirement to Repair Leaking Historic Redwood Tanks on Anacapa Island. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation and as required by referenced and industry standards, applicable codes and existing field conditions. The work of this project includes but is not limited to: installation of water-tight liner systems (NSF-61 certified) in two historic redwood potable drinking water storage tanks having a nominal capacity of 50,000 gallons each, and position and tension the historic steel tension hoops (aka rods) for dry-wood-stave tank geometry to properly resist the hoop stresses that result from horizontal hydrostatic fluid pressures. The two potable water storage tanks are housed within the historic Tank House building. Access into the historic Tank House building is through an approximate 30 inch wide by 6.5 feet high (rectangular door section) door that opens inward to the east, with the top portion of the door having a circular section providing an additional, approximately 1 foot of clearance at the centerline of the doorway. See included photographs of the historic redwood tanks and the historic Tank House included in Appendix A of the Specifications. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation.
Per FAR 36.204 the project range is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000.
The Government contemplates award of a firm-fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation.
