Description
Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI), hereby issues solicitation W90982-22-R-0005 for the procurement of a Plotter/Cutter System in accordance with the included Rock Island Purchase Description in support of Rock Island Arsenal – Joint Technology and Manufacturing (RIA-JMTC). This solicitation is posted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items.
The plotter/cutter system will cut complex patterns from multiple layers of composite materials such as but not limited to Aramid Fiber®, Twaron®, Dyneema®, Spectra Shield®, Tensylon®, and fiberglass (E-, R-, S2-) pre-preg. The weaves, densities and thicknesses of the composite materials are expected to span the entire range of commercially available composite materials, and not limited to a narrow range of styles or configurations. This system will cut composite material with reciprocating blades, drag knifes, optional blades, and drills. It will have a vacuum table to hold composite materials in place while being cut, with a conveyored cutting table that moves material from the spreading table, after being cut and moved to a bundling area.
