Description
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.
Amendment 01:
The following Addendum is being issued for the subject Request for Quotation: 343035
Please see attached Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) form to be returned together with the quotation.
This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive. Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal.
The following changes are hereby made to the appropriate documents contained the above-mentioned Request for Quotation (RFQ). All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain the same
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory has a requirement for frequency quadrupled, high-power CW laser system that includes the following main components: a diode laser source, two subsequent second-harmonic generators, a controller for full digital laser control, and the required hardware to integrate these components. It also includes a service visit for the installation of the laser and training. This complete system will be used to perform experimental scientific research in SSRL at SLAC. Source selection will be lowest price technically acceptable method.
Technical evaluation criteria are as follows:
- Wavelength: 206.2 nm
- Output power: >0.5 mW
- Coarse tuning range: ³0.2 nm
- Linewidth: <2 MHz (5 ms)
- Full digital laser control for low noise & high precision, PDH-based locking, and remote access
- Automatic & single-click optics alignment for coupling between stages
- Output power stabilization
- Past performance of similar items delivered to other customers
- On-site installation and training
Quote is for product only; no on-site services permitted.
Source selection will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Method.

The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order with Onsite Non-Green Terms and Conditions. Please mark exceptions from the Terms and conditions if you wish to negotiate. No mark ups mean that you accept SLAC Terms and Conditions.
Please also return the Certificate of Insurance together with your proposal.
Payment Terms will be NET-30
Freight terms will be FOB Destination Prepaid and Add
