This amendment is to provide questions and answers in response to this notice.
Question 1: Will other vibration-damping solutions (e.g. passive) be deemed acceptable?
ANSWER: Yes, other vibration-damping solutions may be deemed acceptable. Please provide brief explanation why active-vibration damping is not feasible/suitable for the equipment proposed by vendor in your response.
Question 2: Assume the requirement to operate in vacuum is to protect the sample from exposure to environmental factors (such as oxygen or water vapor) during heating. Would other solutions to besides operation in vacuum be considered?
ANSWER: Yes, other solutions may be considered. Please provide brief explanation how exposure from environmental factors, in particular oxidation, will be prevented in the solution proposed by vendor in your response.

This amendment is to provide revised specifications in the attached notice. The specifications and formatting have been updated in the latest copy of the notice under "Attachments". Please read the revised specifications thoroughly.
The title has also been revised to remove "standalone".
