Description

USAID intends to issue a solicitation for a Personal Services Contract (PSC) for the position Social Movements and Collective Action (SMCA) Advisor/Senior Advisor, GS-13/GS-14 for USAID’s Development, Democracy and Innovation Bureau (DDI), Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Center.

The Social Movements and Collective Action Advisor will provide support to the Washington-based Civil Society and Media (CSM) Team, other DRG Center teams, USAID Missions and the Agency to advance thinking and approaches regarding collective action, social movements, and civic activism as they relate to civil society, media, labor, and democratic systems.This position will advance the DRG Center’s efforts to build internal knowledge and capacities around supporting activists, and working together with civil society and informal grassroots organizers to engage in long-term strategizing, organizing, coalition building, and leadership development-critical approaches that build lasting political power.
