USU is issuing this RFI to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of certified 8(a) participants to support the requirements delineated herein. Please refer to the “Scope” and “Information Requested” sections of this RFI for specific information that should be detailed in any capability statement submission.
Background
The mission of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) is to educate, train, and comprehensively prepare uniformed services health professionals, scientists, and leaders to support the Military and Public Health Systems, the National Security and National Defense Strategies of the United States, and the readiness of our Uniformed Services.
USUHS requires services in support of military and civilian professors, instructors, administrative professionals and other employees as necessary to operate DoDs only medical university. Such support spans educational programs dedicated to conferring postdoctoral, postgraduate, undergraduate and technological medical degrees and certifications, to continuing medical education for military members in the health professions to the end that high standards of health care may be maintained within the military medical services.
Scope
The USU is seeking sources and any information on support services to the University in the areas of acquisition, research, consultation, education, technology, and administrative activities necessary to execute the University’s mission. The scope of this requirement includes:
- Support through educators and subject matter experts for a variety of functional areas
- Support to medical operations and medical logistics management through a variety of systems, software and IT platforms
- Support in execution of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) functions in a DOD environment
- Strategic and programmatic support to DOD Senior Leadership
- Providing development, execution, and management of programs in Public Health; Preventive Medicine; and Community Health
- Support in medical education expertise including development and management of defined Learning Objectives, education facilitation and training aids for class-room and distance learning
- Support in technology research and development program management
- Providing web-based services to support all administrative and logistics’ areas internationally, to include services supporting Finance, Human Resources, ESOH, Acquisition, Medical Operations and Logistics
- Fulfilling requirements through strategic partnerships
