THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT IN ANY WAY.
The Government will neither award a contract solely based on this notice, nor pay for any information submitted by respondents. This notice is a request by the Government to collect information from interested vendors for the purpose of market research.
Purpose
The purpose of this RFI is to gather high-level capability information from interested parties, company contact information and socioeconomic data under anticipated NAICS Code 541620. Questions and comments about the ProTech Oceans Domain Performance Work Statement (PWS) (see Attachment 1) will also be collected.
Introduction
The Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services (ProTech) Program includes a suite of Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contracts organized into four Domains: Satellite, Fisheries, Oceans, and Weather. These Domains provide an industrial base of professional, scientific, and technical resources in support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to include its Line and Staff Offices, and the Department of Commerce (DOC). The overall objectives of the ProTech program are to: (1) Obtain high-quality professional and technical services; (2) Develop an industrial base of partners; (3) Develop and maintain performance-based contracts; and (4) Contribute to the NOAA mission.
