Description

***NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) and Fisheries Resources Division (FRD) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Bio-Rad Laboratories,  for routine services and preventative maintenance for the QX200 ddPCR System.

***The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requirement to procure a maintenance and service contract for the Southwest Fisheries Science Center’s Droplet Digital PCR System (ddPCR).

The ddPCR system has advanced the Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) Marine Mammal and Turtle Division’s (MMTD’s) contributions to NOAA’s ‘Omics Strategy by enhancing our genomics capabilities.

Task 1 - ddPCR reader and generator complete support coverage including:

    • Digital PCR System W/Manual DG
    • 1 yr FULL ON-SITE Complete Support Plan
    • Unlimited repair inclusive of travel, parts and labor.
    • Includes 1864001-8006351503-000010-1 - QX200 ddPCR System
    • Includes Droplet Generator (non Auto DG)- [772BR7487 - QX200 DROPLET GENERATOR]
    • Includes Droplet Reader - [771BR5980 - QX200 DIGITAL PCR READER]

***THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, FIRMS THAT BELIEVE THEY CAN FULLY MEET THE GOVERNMENT'S REQUIREMENTS MAY SUBMIT SUBSTANTIATING DOCUMENTATION IN WRITING TO THE IDENTIFIED POINT OF CONTACT WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS. SUCH DOCUMENTATION WILL BE EVALUATED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT TO CONDUCT THIS PROCUREMENT ON A COMPETITIVE BASIS. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT, BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE, IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
