Description

STATEMENT OF NEED GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Transport Department, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for Transport chairs. The Chairs will be used to transport the Veterans to throughout the hospital that have limited mobility. BACKGROUND: The James A Haley Transport department, transport on average 200 to 300 patients a day. The Chairs will be used to transport the Veterans to throughout the hospital that have limited mobility. PURPOSE: The equipment will be replacing equipment that has met its life expectancy, which has started to malfunction and need frequent repairs. These transporter chairs will last longer than the standard wheelchair. SCOPE: James A Haley is requesting contractors provide brand name only requirement no substitution. The equipment feature of these chairs are essential to the hospital. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must have the physical characteristics shown below:
