Description

The 482d Contracting Squadron is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identity parties having an interest in and the resources to support for the below listed laboratory equipment. The result of this sources sought notice will contribute to the determination of the method of procurement will be executed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334516.

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This Sources Sought notice does not constitute a request for quote, bid or proposal; submission of any information in response to this sources sought notice is purely voluntary; the government assumes nonfinancial responsibility for any costs incurred and shall retain all information provided with no expectation of return.

Nomenclature: Fuel Flash Tester

Description:

Fuel flash Tester will be used in the fuel’s laboratory replacing an older machine to determine jet fuels, aviation gasoline, diesel, lubricating oils, residual fuel oils, used lubricating oils and mixtures of petroleum liquids.

The dimension of equipment must be less than 12” wide, 20” deep and 28” high. Less than 65 pounds.

Power required must be 110 volts. 110-240V 50/60Hz

No battery needed, no software required, no training or installation required.

Must conform to ASTM D93 and related specifications.

Flash point detection by thermocouple and ionization ring

Electric ignition

Flash point operation range between ambient and 405°C

Dual Fan System directly cools test cup and surrounding environment

8” LCD Touch Screen Interface allows for easy viewing and navigation

Automatic Barometric Pressure Correction

Stirring Rate: 0 to 300 ± 5 RPM

Cycle Time: 5 minutes as per rapid fan cooling system

Communication: Two (2) USB ports

Security: Three (3) level password protection

The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provide materials consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated; 2) secure and apply the full range of corporate financial, human capital, and technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements.
