Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has prepared a Request For Proposal (RFP) to seek qualified and experienced Event Management companies to lease and operate the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium (known herein as Mellon Auditorium) beginning in the third quarter of 2023.    

The Respondent will operate and manage the building and conduct event management for the Mellon Auditorium such as; weddings, receptions, meetings, banquets, conferences, and location filmings.  The Respondent shall provide a wide range of event management programming activities in support of the events, such as marketing and planning and may assist in all necessary arrangements for those events, including but not limited to, any needed third-party services such as catering; audiovisual equipment rental; meeting planning; and seating/table rentals.  This shall be a full service lease whereby the Respondent shall be responsible for coordinating with the designated officials from GSA for the scheduling of janitorial (i.e., cleaning) and operation & maintenance (e.g., utilities, engineering, electrical), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for security services for each event, including required truck screening (coordinated through GSA).
