Whiteriver Hospital Backup Generator

This is a Notice for Solicitation Number 75H70123R00024 for the project entitled Whiteriver Hospital Backup Generator Installation located in Whiteriver, AZ. These construction services will be in support of the Indian Health Service (IHS) prepared in accordance with FAR Part 36.

This project will be advertised as full and open competition under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238290 – Other Building Equipment Contractors. The associated size standard for this procurement is $22 million.

SCOPE OF WORK:  The purpose of this project is to provide infrastructure for a backup generator at Whiteriver Hospital. The work consists of the renovation of the existing Whiteriver Hospital essential electrical system for an additional generator that will operate as a backup to the emergency generator. This project does not include the procurement of a generator. 

LOCATION OF PROJECT: The project is to be performed on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, AZ.

TERO: TERO fees apply. More information will be released in the solicitation (TERO contact Verna Westover, 928-338-1012).

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The contract Period of Performance is 180 calendar days from date of notice of proceed.

CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000, in accordance with FAR 36.204.

SITE VISIT: 15 May 2023 at 2:00PM MST (local time). Please refer to L.9 for more details.

CONTRACT TYPE: The Indian Health Service intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract in support of this requirement. This solicitation will be procured as a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 36 procedures utilizing Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria.

For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its average annual revenue for the last three (3) years is less than $22 million. For information concerning NAICS and SBA size standards, go to http://www.sba.gov.

Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database is mandatory to be considered for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the internet at https://sam.gov. Contractors are encouraged to complete SAM registration as soon as possible; the Government may not delay award for the purpose of allowing a contractor additional time to register in SAM.
