Description
Water Distribution Systems Improvements: The existing system was constructed
using asbestos-cement (AC) pipe. Some sections of the pipe have been replaced over the years
since, but approximately 5500 linear feet of this pipe remains in service. The AC pipe frequently
fails as rubber gasketed joints become brittle leading to points of leakage. Failure of these joints
have drained the Park¿s 100,000-gallon water storage tank. The two water storage tanks have
also exceeded their life expectancy and have deteriorated due to the mineral content of the
water.
