Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for a binder jet printers.  The compliant product is available solely from ExOne, as the required materials are only available through the manufacturer and authorized distributers.  The NAICS code is 333244 and the business size is 750 employees.

The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a brand name basis.  The proposed action is for additive manufacturing printers, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one compliant product pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).  The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: the Innovent+ is the only compatible item, with no compatible product on the market.  The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

The NSWCCD will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Quoter that submits the Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable (LPTA) quote in response to this solicitation that represent the best value to the Government. See 52.212-2- EVALUATION. Questions/clarification regarding this solicitation must be submitted no later than May 9, 2022 at 11:59AM.  All questions will be answered in an amendment to the solicitation.
