Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) New York Water Science Center (NYWSC) has a requirement for the analysis of New York City (NYC) drinking water samples to determine the disinfection byproduct formation potential. All samples will be collected by and processed at the USGS NYWSC. The samples will be previously disinfected at the NYWSC according to Standard Method 5710B (APHA, 2023) prior to delivery to the contractor's laboratory. The period of performance will be one year from the date the contractor receives the award with four one-year option periods thereafter. Each one-year period will have a minimum of 100 samples and an estimated maximum of 1000, with analysis required to be performed in 10 days from the date the contractor receives the samples. The contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, equipment, and materials required for the analysis. Delivery of the analyses results will be made to the NYWSC located in Troy, New York.


The U.S. Geological Survey intends to issue competitive Request for Quotations (RFQ) 140G0125Q0001 under FAR Subpart 13.5 - Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The RFQ will be a total small business set-aside and be issued on or about 01/16/2025 with written quotes do on or about 02/06/2025. The Government anticipates award of a fixed-price purchase order for these services. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
