Site Visit

Payette NF – GAOA Paddy Flat Guard Station Deferred Maintenance

Project Summary:  This project consists of completing deferred maintenance on the buildings and related site work located at the Paddy Flat Guard Station Administrative Site on the Payette National Forest.

Work includes siding repair and exterior staining, window maintenance, roof replacement, accessibility improvements, interior painting and staining, plumbing relocation, floor restoration, general site work and all related work. 

This site visit in no way commits the Government to award a contract.  The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement.  The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the project areas prior to bidding.  We anticipate issuing a Notice to Proceed by Dec 1st, 2023 with work continuing through October 31, 2025.

Estimated Price Between $250,000 and $500,000

Site Visit Information:  A site visit of the project will meet at the Paddy Flat work center at 10:30am on Thursday, September 28th, 2023.  Those participating in the site visit must furnish their own transportation and may wish to bring a lunch.  Please inform the COR if you plan to attend by calling Paul McCloskey at 928-814-2771, or sending an email to paul.mccloskey@usda.gov , by noon of the day before the site visit.

The function of the Forest Service site visit is to show the on-the-ground location of the work areas, boundaries and other in-place markers, and the routes of travel that may be utilized in going to and from the work areas.

Directions from Donnelly, ID

(44.77452, -115.95045) (~31 minutes):

  • Head north on Highway 5 for 3.0 miles
  • Turn right on Paddy Flat Rd (Road 388) and continue for 5.4 miles
  • Turn right onto Forest Road 389 and continue for 3.7 miles.  The work center will be on the left.  (Note the sign at Paddy Flat summit by the Paddy Flat/Road 389 junction says the Paddy Flat work Center is to the left.  This alternate route is a longer, narrower route)
