Notice of Intent to sole source Printer Maintenance

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT

Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to award a sole source purchase order to Computer Aided Technology dba Fisher Unitech, 165 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Suite 101, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

This service requirement is to provide hardware and software support for the Dimension SST 1200es System, Serial #P05540. Support shall consist of both telephone and on-site technical support.

The Dimension SST 1200es Printer is fully owned by Stratasys Ltd.  As such, only Stratasys Ltd can provide the Dimension Printer Maintenance to this proprietary machine. For their support contracts, Stratasys Ltd only utilized resellers that service a dedicated geographical region. The reseller for the Northeast Pennsylvania region is Computer Aided Technology. As such, Computer Aided Technology is the sole source for this service.

The Government intends to acquire this service under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. However, if any interested party feels that can provide this service, without compromising manufacturing delivery, warranty or mark ups, you may submit a statement of capabilities that may be considered by Tobyhanna Army Depot.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice and it is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.

The capability statement, a price list and any other information furnished must be via email only and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet the requirements.
