Description

This requirement was previously called Cobra Dane SE&I, and has been re-named to Cobra Dane System Life-Cycle Sustainment (SLS).

The AN/FPS-108 COBRA DANE (CD) is a ground-based, computer-driven L-band (1175-1375 MHz) phased-array radar located at Eareckson Air Station, Shemya, Alaska. The system was operationally fielded in 1977 and later underwent a major system modernization program that was completed in 1993. CD is undergoing a number of modernization and mini service life extension program (SLEP) efforts. CD’s primary missions are Missile Defense (MD) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) used for maintaining the catalog of near-earth orbiting satellites, including space debris, and providing early observation of new foreign launches (NFL).

The objective of this contract is to provide system sustainment support to the program management office (PMO) for CD radar life-cycle management. This vehicle will leverage established, trusted relationships with the diverse CD multi-mission user communities and the PMO.
