Description

TITLE: Replace Chillers and Controls, National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC),

Suitland Maryland

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a Two-Phase Design-Build procurement. The

purpose of this project is for the replacement of the chiller plant equipment and HVAC

controls systems at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC).

The scope of the DB RFP includes two major components. The first component of the

DB RFP is for the comprehensive replacement of the building Central Utility Plant (CUP)

equipment and system components. The replacement of chiller system components is

limited to the plant equipment but excludes the condenser water equipment and

distribution. The second component is for an all-inclusive replacement of the heating,

ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) existing control system for all major/source

equipment as well as distribution and terminal equipment in the entire building. The DB

RFP includes not only performance criteria and requirements, but also design

development concept equivalent to a 15% level of completion for the chiller and controls

replacement.
