Description

ACU-3 is responsible for a portion of Building 23 HVAC requirements for the 261st Cyber Operations Squadron at Sepulveda ANGS, California. Manufactured in June 2004, the unit is 20 years old. The condenser has failed, and there could be additional issues. This air conditioning unit must be replaced by trained HVAC experts equipped with the necessary tools for the job.

The current ACU is a Trane Precedent, with model number YHC120A4RMA1KD1C3A2B0A606 and serial number 426100285L. For this replacement, specialized testing equipment is required to calibrate and tune certain inputs and outputs for maximum system efficiency. The replacement unit must be a 10-ton heat pump compatible with the existing BACnet Communications Interface. The installation process must adhere to the manufacturer's specifications. The new unit will be installed in the same location, using the existing power and control wiring. Following replacement, a startup and operational test must be performed to ensure the heat pump is functioning properly.
