Description
The Marine Corps has a requirement for the procurement and delivery of 169 Backhoe Loaders (BHLs). The BHL Program has been initiated to procure and field a commercially available item that meets the requirements set forth in the Performance Specification. This BHL will replace the currently fielded BHL, Caterpillar 420D and 420E, which is reaching the end of its economical service life.
The BHL shall be a commercially available item with military modifications. The BHL shall be a wheeled, engine driven vehicle with backhoe, bucket loader, front fork attachment, and be capable of operating hydraulic tools. The BHL will be compatible with the existing Caterpillar work tools.
The Contractor shall provide the requisite program management and logistics support to ensure that delivery schedules, performance requirements, and overall supportability of the BHL is accomplished as set forth in the contract. The Contractor is responsible for providing all material, services, CONUS and OCONUS training, and necessary support documentation needed to complete the tasks identified in the solicitation documents.
This contract includes the Program Management, Government Furnished Information (GFI), Meetings and Reviews, Testing and Verification, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH), Configuration Management (CM), Unique Identification (UID), and logistics supportability.
