Description
The California National Guard is seeking sources for macro restoration for the following items:
Howitzer, Self-Propelled, Full Track, M110A2 (Sacramento)
Tank, Armored, Full Tracked, M60A3 (Sacramento)
Missile, Guided, NIM-14, Nike Hercules (Camp San Luis Obispo)
Helicopter, CH-47D, Chinook (Stockton)
Helicopter, Observation, OH-58C (Camp Roberts)
Work shall include the complete exterior cosmetic refurbishment and restoration of the macro artifact(s) and may also include the partial refurbishment and restoration of interior spaces as well. This will most often require the preparation of exterior (and interior, if required) surfaces for repainting and re-marking through the removal of failed paint and coatings. New primer, paint and markings of period-correct color, material formulation, and application scheme will only be applied to the artifact once all surfaces to be refinished have been prepared properly. The contractor shall commit to preserving and re-using as much original historical material from the artifact as possible in order to preserve the artifact's historical integrity to the greatest extent possible.
