Description
This is a request for reliable, SAM-registered businesses that can provide motorcycles (approximately 11 each) for future contracts in support of the Air Force motorcycle safety course given on one of the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Texas, installations throughout the year. There are two types of motorcycles typically needed.
Yamaha XT250, or equal: Must be new within the current year being requested, be street legal, come fully assembled, not have aftermarket equipment, have an engine displacement of 300cc or less, have a fuel injection system, have a chain drive, weigh 400 pounds or less, have a seat height of 32.7 inches or less, and be delivered to zip code 78236. Title and registration will be made to the JBSA Safety Program.
Yamaha TW200, or equal: Must be new within the current year being requested, be street legal, come fully assembled, not have aftermarket equipment, havean engine displacement of 300cc or less, have a chain drive, weigh 400 pounds or less, have a seat height of 31.1 inches or less, and be delivered to zip code 78236. Title and registration will be made to the JBSA Safety Program.
If your company is able to supply motorcycles within 90 days of receipt of a contract award, please submit your company detials to the point of contact in this notice. The preference is for small businesses, but manufacturers and large businesses that can delivery the motorcycles within 90 days are welcome to submit company information.
Background: The last two contracts awarded for motorcycles have taken over a year and a half to recieve the motorcycles and have been an adminstrative burden. The governemnt is seeking sources for future buys that can provide the full order of motorcycles in a reasonable amount of time.
