Description
The United States Department of Labor, Employment & Training Administration, National Office of Job Corps is conducting market research related to potential procurement of a Firm-Fixed-Price contract vehicle to provide ad hoc program-owned server maintenance.
The government seeks information on alternatives to the current Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance agreement covering the following servers: 78A02DX, 78A02EX, 78A564X, 78A030X, 78A031X, 78A569X. The government is aware that this hardware will reach end-of-life status in the second quarter of calendar 2024, and seeks alternative methodologies to keep the equipment active until the modernization effort is complete or the data currently stored on the machines is moved to a cloud environment. Responses should include a description of how replacement parts which will no longer be manufactured will be available should any of the hardware experience operational failure.
The Government expects to identify potential vendors through NAICS code 518210. In addition, the Government anticipates a firm fixed price type contract to be issued to a vendor capable of meeting the Government’s need for the aforementioned hardware maintenance and support.
Contractors will be expected to provide all material, services, and necessary personnel to execute the requirements as described in the potential solicitation and resultant contract. Note that no property nor workspace will be provided by the government upon award of any contract.
