Description

The Black Hills Health Care System requires the purchase of an electric steam heated stand mounted griddle with the salient characteristics listed below. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only looking for businesses to provide the supplies listed below for market research purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR PRICING AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responses to this notice will be treated only as information for the Government to consider as part of their market research efforts. The information provided will be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy regarding possible set aside for Veteran Owned and other socio-economic categories of small business. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this notice and parties responding will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs incurred in responding to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333241, Food Product Machinery Manufacturing, with an SBA Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. Please identify any of your firm s existing contract vehicles (e.g., GSA federal supply schedules) which provide similar supplies as those described in the Salient Characteristics below. Identify if your organization is the manufacturer of the required supplies. If you are not the manufacturer, identify the manufacturer of the supplies that you will provide. Identify whether any foreign-end products, as defined in FAR Provision 52.225-2, would be provided to meet this requirement ( https://www.acquisition.gov/far/part-52#FAR_52_225_2__d3401e52). Salient Characteristics for Electric Steam Heated Griddle The Black Hills Health Care System is looking to procure an electric steam heated stand-mounted griddle. This requirement is in support of a brand name or equal requirement. See FAR Clause 52.211-6- Brand Name or Equal (AUG 1999) for additional information. The Brand Name or Equal item is the AccuTemp Model EGF2083A3650-S2. Griddle shall be an ENERGY STAR compliant electric-heated unit, with a hermetically sealed chamber that produces steam that heats the 7-gauge stainless steel griddle plate. Below are the salient characteristics of the unit that is being requested: Includes stand with casters Electric, 36 X 30 griddle area, 7 ga stainless steel cooking surface Digital thermostat & controls 4 grease trough, 14 ga stainless steel cabinet 208v/60/3-ph, 14.25kW, 40 amps, cord with NEMA 15-50P, cULus, UL EPH Provides 200-400 degree F operating temperature range and uniform griddle surface temperatures of plus or minus 5 degree F 1 year parts & labor warranty, standard Control guard Easy front service access to controls 3 preset temperatures capable Manager mode to lock out temperature controls Over temperature indicator light
