Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
Solicitation number NB688000-23-02176 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-04.
The associated NAICS 334516 has a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
This requirement is being competed Unrestricted.
The Cryo Molecules Lab at NIST requires a dye laser system capable of delivering >1 mJ, >10 Hz pulses of 237 nm light with good beam shape. We also require the flexibility to later tune the laser to other UV wavelengths.
The Basis of Award is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). NIST will evaluate the lowest-price quotation first, and then stop evaluating quotes when NIST has identified the lowest-priced quotation that is technically acceptable.
Vendors shall submit quotations so that NIST receives them no later than 11:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) on June 26, 2023. Fax quotations shall not be accepted. Email quotations shall be accepted at lisa.stevens@nist.gov. Please reference the RFQ number in the subject line of email communications and attachments. Vendor's quotations shall not be deemed received by the Government until the quotation enters the email box set forth above.
